If your Sec 1 child
is in any of these boats.

Survived Term 1 and Term 2 but feels shaky on the foundations before Term 3 begins.
Scored mid-range on the SA1 / mid-year and wants to consolidate before harder topics arrive.
Understands in class, then blanks on homework — the classic "I get it but I don't get it" problem.
Is making basic algebra and ratio mistakes that cost easy marks every paper.

Four Wednesdays.
Six topics. No filler.

Every session runs 7:30–9:00 PM Singapore time on Zoom. Recording sent the next morning. Moodle homework assigned at the end of each class.

Week 01
Wed 3 Jun
Numbers + Approximation
Primes, factors, multiples, HCF and LCM. Significant figures, decimal places, estimation. The bedrock — built right, the rest follows.
Week 02
Wed 10 Jun
Algebra + Linear Equations
Notation, like terms, expanding brackets, substitution, then solving linear equations in one variable. The single biggest stumbling block of Sec 1 — given the prime middle slot for a reason.
Week 03
Wed 17 Jun
Ratio, Rate, Proportion
Direct and inverse proportion, map scale, rate problems, speed. Heavy use of the algebra from Week 2 — by now your child will see how the topics interlock.
Week 04
Wed 24 Jun
Percentage + Mixed Review
Percentage change, reverse percentage, GST. Final 30 minutes: mixed-topic challenge questions to surface every remaining gap before Term 3 begins on 29 June.

More than just

Miss Lim, Max.

I built prelearn.site because I kept seeing the same thing: Singapore Sec 1 students who are bright, hardworking, and quietly drowning — because nobody slowed down long enough to make sure the foundations were solid.

I run the platform solo. I write every question, record every solution, and teach every live session myself. That means small groups, real attention, and no junior tutor reading off a script.

This June programme is the first time I'm bundling the live teaching with the Moodle content. The 30 days of June are the right length, and the holiday is the right window. If your child is in Sec 1, this is the one I'd send my own kid to.

Frequently asked.

My child's school hasn't covered all six topics yet — is this still useful?
Yes. Most Singapore Sec 1 cohorts have covered Numbers, Algebra, Linear Equations and Ratio by end of May. Percentage varies — for some it's late Term 2, for others early Term 3. We treat the last topic as a preview if your child hasn't seen it yet, which means they'll start Term 3 ahead instead of behind.
My child is shy and won't speak up on Zoom.
Group is capped at 10 for exactly this reason. I use the chat box, polls, and direct (but gentle) calling. Most "shy" students are talking by Week 2. Cameras are encouraged but not forced.
What if we miss a Wednesday?
The recording goes out the next morning, and the Moodle homework is the same regardless. You can also bring questions to the next Telegram check-in. No make-up sessions — that's why the price is what it is.
Is this enough? Shouldn't they be doing tuition twice a week?
For revision and consolidation in a holiday window — six hours of focused live teaching plus daily Moodle practice is plenty. This isn't replacing year-round tuition. It's making sure the foundations are bolted down before Term 3 piles new topics on top.
What happens after June?
Nothing automatic. Students who want to continue with weekly term-time tuition will get first access to my July intake (limited spots). No subscription traps, no auto-renewals.

Term 3 starts 29 June.
Don't go in shaky.

WhatsApp me directly. I'll send PayNow details and add your child to the class group within 24 hours.
